The Full Story

My name is Erin Bajada.  Through this blog, I hope to share my crazy and unexpected, yet oddly relatable stories with you all as I try to figure out this next chapter of my life.  My husband, Nick Bajada, and I purchased as newly weds a historic fixer upper in 2016.  I fell in love with this house and the land and could envision raising a family here.  However, neither of us had a clue as to how much time, money, and effort this property required.  Construction was not in our background; Nick is a veteran from the Navy and I am an organic farmer and artist.  The artist in me saw the potential in this property -- the potential life waiting to be built here, the potential for this home to live again and the land to be worked again, the potential for flowers and babies and laughter.  This silent, unloved home was waiting for us to give her a purpose again.  Three years later, we have exhausted all our funds, but have gained much knowledge, many stories, and a stronger marriage.  We love this home and the vision of "what can be".  So we have started a family and will continue chipping away at the long list of improvements, just at a much slower pace now that Elliott is with us.  I hope you will follow us on our journey here at Peace Ridge Farm.
