The Apartment

We were lucky enough to have an investment property above our garage. The only way we could afford to keep our home and continue renovating it was to finish the apartment and rent it out. So we would go back and forth from demo on our house to renovations in the apartment. We were able to complete the apartment in 6 months! I tiled, Nick layed the subfloor. We repurposed the cabinets and appliances from our kitchen, and poured concrete countertops. We installed the doors, new floors, and trim, and installed a pellet stove. I think we did a pretty good job. Once we finished the space we rented it out over winter to a couple, and have been running a bed and breakfast since.
